Viking Honey® — Best Honey in the World

The House

Giles Shire

I.  The Story of Giles Shire

In 1960, World War II veteran Frank Russell Abernathy
and Ava Dell Giles Abernathy established Giles Shire—
the Last Viking Kingdom in Midgard.

What was begun there was never meant to end.

After a distinguished tenure with the U.S. Department of Agriculture
in Washington, D.C., Frank returned to Mississippi with Dell
to reclaim the land and keep faith with the Earth.

In the stillness of summer, on golden afternoons,
their grandsons—Jimmy, Greg, and Mark—moved through the fields,
learning the ancient rhythm of season, seed, and storm.

Years passed.

Jimmy went out into the world—Mississippi State, the Sorbonne,
Madison Avenue, and a divided Germany at the edge of history.

Then he met her.

A Viking princess.

She led him home.

There, in the sacred soil of Giles Shire,
Jimmy entered the order of Hive Lords—
guardians of bee, blossom, and source.

In the communion of bee and blossom,
he uncovered the source—
its origin kept in silence.

Viking Honey®.

II.  The Communion

The nectar source remains the most closely guarded secret of Giles Shire.

III.  The House Becomes Myth

The fate of life is bound to the honey bee.

At Giles Shire, it is said that Beyla,
Norse goddess of bees,
dwells within the land.

Odin Allfather has laid claim to it.

Thor commands the skies,
shielding the sacred apiaries.

From hive, hearth, and hidden source,
a Warrior Queen is summoned.

At the threshold stands Heimdall—
sentinel of worlds,
guardian of the gates.

IV.  The Creed of the Hive Lords

I vow to honor the hive, the hearth, the gods, and the green.

To guard the bee, bearer of nectar and fate.

To wield this honey not for hunger, but for ceremony, memory, and myth.

This is my pact.

I stand worthy.

V.  The Philosophy

Honor the honey bee.
Honor the Earth.
Honor the source.

Without the bee, the world falls silent.

Viking Honey® is not merely nourishment.

It is ceremony.
It is origin.
It is the taste of a guarded place.

Beyla’s gift—
the nectar of myth,
held in silence at Giles Shire.

Viking Honey®.
Rare. Sovereign.

There is honey.
And then there is Viking Honey®.

VI.  The Kinship

Viking and bee.
Wave and wind.
Raid and return.
Gold and nectar.
House and hive.

VII.  The Offering

Viking Honey® is born of a dual force—
fierce and fertile, wild and sacred.

It is not merely honey.
It is a relic of the House.

To taste it is to taste power.
To hold it is to hold myth.

Odin sends his ravens—
Huginn and Muninn—
to judge those who seek it.

If found worthy,
Viking Honey® calls the seeker
toward Valhalla.

From Giles Shire—the seat of origin—
one hundred vessels are released each year,
decreed by Odin as the Best Honey in the World.

Blessed by Beyla.
Shielded by Thor.

Reserved for the worthy.

The private House begins with Founder’s Reserve.
